Both of these reasons are considered involuntary terminations.
In fact, you could just say you were involuntary terminated.
Our son’s birth mother told us that she Googled “loving family in Maryland looking to adopt” and said we kept coming up first in the search. We brought home our beautiful daughter yesterday and are loving every minute! Thanks to Hal and My Adoption Advisor we were able create a new website and run an online ad campaign. I actually found the birth mother on Facebook through the adoptive mother who adopted her daughter last year.
Her birthmother told us she found us through our ad and contacted our agency to request us. We reached a birthmom halfway across the country in 3 months and she placed a beautiful baby boy with us. Ana and I have been amazed by the services you provide. We plan to adopt more children, so this is not goodbye. It was interesting to compare our profiles after your training to see what tips the couples picked up from your training. This was helpful to me as an adoption Social Worker, as well! It was a good reminder to think about the differences of today’s generation even though I’m not much older than many birth parents. The woman who adopted her daughter was helping her find an adopting parent and she came across my Facebook Page.
When we asked her what she liked about the site she mentioned how inviting and warm it was. I can’t thank you enough for being a key player on our ‘dream team! She forwarded it to the birth mother who requested me as a friend and we started talking on the phone.
We also offer a free Partner Program that provides discounts for adopting parents. We never felt pressured and always felt that he had our budget and goals in mind.
I would recommend Hal’s services to any waiting family who wishes to give their adoption profile more exposure.
To be honest, don’t even try to explain why it is not fair at any time during the job application or interview process.
